With the First Shots of new Cold war being fired, Taiwan and Somaliland are posed as the first beneficiaries of the New War Order.
For the first in almost 40 years, a leading US Minister has, today, paid an official visit to Taiwan. This development signifies the first shot of a new East-West New cold-war, targeting particularly China.
In the middle of the 20th-century cold war, the West gave generous concessions to China as part of containment policy aimed at the then powerful Soviet Union. However, effective 1989 and following the dismantling of the infamous Berlin Wall and the disintegration of the Soviet Union, the World has entered a period of One Super Power; namely the United States of America.
This period was marked by relatively low tension between world powers in many fronts.
But, with the election of Donald Trump and the emergence of populist groups and ultraright movements in Europe, the western powers and particularly the Anglo-Saxons have embarked on drawing a new World Order.
The centre of this new strategy is putting pressure on China in order to halt or at least slow down its decade-old double-digit economic growth. Once this new warfare has been fully waged, thousands of American, German, French and British manufacturing facilities will be shifted from china to India, Vietnam and elsewhere. In addition, sanctions will be imposed on any cooperation with China in the fields of technology and research and development etc.

Support for Taiwan and Hong Kong which were both literally sold to the Chinese in the Cold War will be the Center of Gravity of 21-century cold war. There will be no more One China policy with respect to Taiwan, and Hong Kong’s One Country Two Systems formula is also dead.
The appeasement policies that the West had long adopted as tool of inviting the Chinese dragon into the free market and the capitalist world is now being seriously reviewed. The reason: the liberalization of Word Trade and cross-country capital movements have grossly benefited the Chinese and not the West as originally and secretly planned – for reasons is outside the scope of this article.
The Trump Administration and any subsequent US President will support more independent Taiwan as part of the new strategy of economic and tactical containment of the Mainland.
The Law supporting Taiwan’s world relationships which was recently passed by the US is intended to nurture the significant role that Taiwan is expected to play in the international scene. The West has decided to kill the One China Policy vs Taiwan. This was partially in retaliation of China purging the One Country Two Systems in Hong Kong.
The new relationship that Taiwan has established with Somaliland, which was obviously solicited by the US is evidently the first strategic step taken towards a quasi-independent Twain.  This move is bestowed with full-fledged support of the United States and Britain.
The East-West rift will open doors, globally, to a new and unprecedented mindset and rethinking vs the concepts of Sovereignty and people right to Self-determination.
Somaliland is on top of the candidates that qualified for such review given its proven and well-publicized credentials in this regard. The new World Order will definitely bring an end to Africa’s obsolete Pandora’s Box regarding the colonial borders.
It is hoped that with external pressure, the African leaders will finally realise and respect the right to self-determination of the people of Somaliland.
