Response to the article (The El Afwayn conflict exposes President Bihi’s poor leadership), By Ahmad A B Ibrahim. A deceptive criticism in an effort to misinterpret the realand blame theinnocent victims.

The written of the article above has completely misinterpreted the reality of the recurring tribal war in Sanaag region. It is beyond believe that your media platform has become a voice for those who hold extreme views of cynical tribalism ideology. It is abhorrent to broadcast a biased viewthat attempts to hide the truth and portray victims as perpetrates. The writer has failed to mention that one of the warring tribes is always the attacker and breaks is every single peace agreement, and thatBiihi’sgovernment has taking no action against peace brokers. And yet, the writer criticised the government for not arresting the defected officers. I like to ask who is to blame a government that failed to protect its citizen or an officer who witnessed a massacre of his own people at the present of Somalilandarmy. It is insensitive, merciless and shows lack remorse to the innocent victims and refuels the situation. The officer has felt powerless to protect the innocent and saw injusticeandvicious cycle of violence against his family. The officer realized a systematic annihilation of hisown people and lost faith with the government thathe served. The written mention that officer left to launch a gorilla war. What evidence does he have the officer left to launch gorilla war? He further wrote that the officer has the support of the Sanaagadministration; the officer he has the support of all his own people and anyone with slightest humanity and justice in their heart. It is careless and hypocritical to politicize a sensitive situation which doesn’t help the peace effort in that region.

The title of the articles headline appears critical about of Biihi administration, but rather promotes hostility, enmity and biased view.It is an attempt to shift blame to the innocent victims and conceal the consequent of the government failure for not dealing with the aggressors.Biihi’sadministration failed to protect the innocent butwriter seeks to justify abuses and aggressions against innocent people based on their tribe.

Furthermore, president election manifestowas equality and injustice for all Somaliland people, but we only witnessed killings, arrest and systematic policy of intimidation and oppression in every aspect. Somaliland today does not need divide and rule policy but peace and unity at this critical juncture.
