Memo to international community -2019 ……… 18 May is a national Idoor day

A national day is a designated date on which celebrations mark the nationhood of a nation or non-sovereign country. This nationhood can be symbolized by the date of independence, of becoming a republic or a significant date for a patron saint or a ruler (birthday, accession, removal, etc.). Often the day is not called “National Day” but serves and can be considered as one. The national day will often be a national holiday. Many countries have more than one national day so does Somaliland , 18 May which is” Idoor day” or “Isaac clan day” and nowadays known as ” Heego day” while Sool , Sanaag and Ayn regions 18 May is marked as national garbage collecting day also in Awdal region  18 may is marked as national toilets cleaning day …. The national day that unites Somaliland inhabitants is 26 June independence day from Great Britain.

Somaliland parliamentarian Mr.Dhankool just stated facts mentions above in a television interview within hours RRU a anti-terrorism police unit raided his home destroyed and looted it.   Mr. Dhankool has been jailed although he has legislative immunity and parliamentarians are immune from prosecution for defamation committed in the exercise of their functions. We Urge Heego government to respect constitution of Somaliland.
