The inauguration of Berbera corridor project (portion of one billion US dollar project) will turn Somaliland into major regional trading hub

The forefathers of this great nation aimed to build a modern trading hub which would ensure that the resources would continue to flow into the city and generate income just like other major global hubs such as London, New York, and Paris and UAE leadership has this vision into reality. This reality become destructive weapon against the enemies of Somaliland leading by fragile government in Somalia and contrary promising economy prosperity for Somaliland people. UAE leadership proved being true friend for Somaliland people can depend on. UAE leadership proved being true   friend for Somaliland people we can trust.  UAE leadership proved being honest brother for Somaliland people.  UAE leadership proved being economic partner for Somaliland people.  UAE leadership proved being strategic partner for Somaliland people. As nature, UAE people born as generous people. Generosity is way of life for UAE people. Generosity is traditional habit for UAE people.  In this great inauguration ceremony, Somaliland President Muse  Bihi Ahmed, accompanied by the President of the Somali Region of the Federal Republic of Ethiopia, Mustafa Mohamed Omar have  kicked off the Constructing 250 KM paved road  in world standard which is linking Berbera to Somaliland-Ethiopian border town of Wajale. This is incredible success for Somaliland people.

. This road project as e Berbera Corridor which is funded by the Abu Dhabi Development Fund, will be over 250 kilometres long and will have seven major bridges. There will also be a 21 kilometre bypass to the Somaliland capital, Hargeisa.   Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, President Bihi traced the historical economic ties between Somaliland, UAE, and Ethiopia. Somaliland president has briefed economic potential importance for this marvelous road project. Apart being greatly contributing job opportunities for Somaliland job market, the same will develop trading opportunities for three countries Somaliland, Ethiopia and the United Arab Emirates.   On his side, the President of the Somali Region of the Federal Republic of Ethiopia, Mustafa Mohamed Omer, paid homage to the ties between all the Somali people in region, culturally, socially and economically. This great ceremony has inspired the entire Somaliland across the country as we never experienced in past such hearting breaking project like of this kind.

The president disclosed the Berbera Corridor will bring these ties even closer. UAE representative in the carmine, speaking on behalf of the Abu Dhabi Development, deputy-Director General, Syed Khalifa, highlighted the potential of the Berbera Corridor along with the development of the Port of Berbera by DP World. This highway will turn Berbera into a major regional trading hub. The construction of the road is expected to take up to 22 months and will also link with a new civilian airport in Berber… Dreams are the seeds of change.
