TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN ……..

Thousands of children are serving as soldiers in armed conflicts around the world, the case isn’t different in Tukaraq conflict both Puntland and Somaliland are deploying child soldiers according our sources . New evidence has emerged as photos of children captured in the war zone

 Family members and an eyewitness told our sources how the  armed groups with the help of clan chiefs  were actively recruiting boys as young as 15 to fight as child soldiers on the front lines of the conflict in  Tukaraq .

It is horrifying  that  Somaliland and Puntland forces with the help of clan chiefs are taking children away from their parents and their homes, stripping them of their childhood to put them in the line of fire where they could die or being traumatized for live .

This is a disgraceful and shocking violation of international law.  Puntland and Somaliland must immediately end all forms of recruitment of children under 18 and release all children within their ranks. The international community should support the rehabilitation and reintegration of demobilized children into the community.

According article in the African Intelligence “This conflict is a source of concern to the international community and the United Nations special representative in Somalia, Nicholas Haysom, has called on the two parties to cease hostilities. Western donors, on whom Somalia is dependent, will threaten to freeze aid and development assistance to both Somaliland and Puntland if the warring parties do not reach a peace agreement rapidly. They thereby hope to persuade them to resume a political dialogue and address security issues in order to calm the situation. This conflict is an embarrassment to Nicholas Haysom, who traveled to Hargeisa and Garowe in the end of summer with the express intention of warding off any deterioration in the situation. We say to the international community Action is needed not only words , the international community should impose economic sanctions against elite in Puntland and Somaliland their bank accounts should be blocked  , freezing their  assets  will help from the two  Presidents Muse Bihi Abdi & Abdweli Ali Gas down the chain of command also all their economic interests and activities in abroad could be halted .

We like to inform international community specially western countries there are individuals in social media who are actively collecting money  women particularly  to fuel this bloody civil war we think that is violation of international law , western countries should act and act now .

International community should make clear to Colonel Muse Bihi Abdi and Mr. Abdiweli Ali Gas this bloody conflict will not solve their domestic problems therefore their troops should return to their positions before January 2018 , Tukaraq should be simple No man’s land outpost as  it was pre  January 2018  and international community guided conference for Dhulbahante clan  to find out their inner peace must occur …….

Conclusion if the warring parties do not reach a peace agreement rapidly all help from international community to Puntland and Somaliland should be stopped directly except emergency humanitarian help.
