When The Somaliland That Is What-Is-Seen Will Be Changed?

When intellectuals and right thinking individuals say that Somaliland people have no common understanding or experience of nationhood and, therefore, Somaliland country is so vulnerable to a potential collapse, they are not making cynical manipulation.
Human mind is everything. It is an extraordinary device that automatically generates every human action and reaction. Just as it can help us solve our life problems it can also backfire against us and ruin our life if we use it incorrectly. When humans use their minds incoorectly, they are either ignorant or arrogant.
If ignorance is the poverty of understanding, arrogance can be what? What is the difference between ignorance and arrogance? Can someone who is ignorant also be arrogant?
Ignorance is not a disease but it is a curable defect. It does not mentally affect the ignorant, since the ignorant are unaware of their mental condition. An ignorant can also be arrogant, since the ignorant is unable to know what he/she doesn’t know.
Knowing or umkowingly, ignorance and arrogance are what cheats our leaders out of conscious and critical thinking. We will only know this when we take the time to look at the operating Somaliland political calculation that has become the less you know and care.
The two Colonels, Muse Biixi and Mohamed Kahin, are ignorant, since they cannot rise above spit, faction and greed. They do not end with bitterness or adopt a defeatist attitude when the things they do go wrong for the country as they obviously do and did, from time to time. There is no, and evidently has never been a conflict or a clash in Somaliland without their participation.
In 1994 Muse Biixi and Mohamed Kahin succeeded to make civil war happen in Somaliland. In 2017 presidential election they divided Somaliland major clans into factions that are  unilkely to come together in the near future to hash out the rift that evolved from the election.
Muse Biixi smeared Wadani Party as the agent of Somaliweyn in the election campaign, which was and still is an unfounded allegation that ignited rift between the fans of the two parties. Mohaned Kahin reached below the wisemen’s belts and left no stone unturned to sow envy and enmity between Togdheer communities — an assignment for which he was responsible to fulfill since the start of SNM struggle for the restoration of Somaliland independence as a separate state of its own reality.
A recent parliamentary session concerning the appraisal of the current Somalilamf situation stated that Muse Biixi has not virtually as of yet proved himself as a capable president with the vision that this country requires. The speakers of the session highlighted the fact that the reputional level of Somaliland as a state has been downgraded  to regional government by the international community and that the country is in serious need of some sort of saviour. “A lion roared at Gacan Lixbaax Mountain. Do you think that this is a simple thing?’, demanded one MP, Mr Xoog.
But what precisely does Somaliland need to be saved from? The easy answer is collapse. The difficult bit is to define the origins of this impending collapse.
Of course there is no immunity against the failure of Somalilabd state and the consequent national disintegration. Since the days of Siilaanyo,  justice and good governance have always been a requirement for Somaliland state to maintain its unity. The ownership of Somaliland political direction has been in doubt and even directionless since 2010.
There are many features which characterize the origins of the impending collapse from which Somaliland should be saved without fail.
The factors causing Somaliland’s crumble are hereuder for all to see.
Legitimacy crises
—————————-
Legitimacy simply connotes wide acceptability of the government in power by the entire citizens. Legitimacy of a government is determined by how power is acquired and balanced and accepted by the public, and how the rule of law is applied to all citizens, and public voice is respected.  The way Muse Biixi ascended to power was far from being legitimate.
Imbalance in power sharing
——————————————-
The criteria governing civil servanta capability and competence are not fairly followed, the power sharing is not justly balanced,  the rule of law is not equally applicable to all citizens, the national contracts are offered to certain people without bids being made public and the procurement and logistics are reserved for specific individuals.
Corruption
——————
Another injurious episode is the corruption (self-enrichment business) that has been and still continues to be the mechanism through which Kulmiye governments have poisoned the credibility of our nation’s political pride and economic growth. Corruption is just a cancer that kills every nation.
Lack of justice
————————
Of course justice is the most basic principle without which political democracy can survive.
For justice is what we as a society regard as “right.”  It is the sense by which we use to justify our thoughts and actions —  a moral construct, basically a convention that we derive from ourselves as humans and use as our anchor point of what is right and wrong in all aspects ol life.
When the thing, probably the justice, that ought to protect rights and punish wrongs is  not working in Somaliland political system, what else that could clear rights and wrongs, justify peoples’ actions and thoughts and protect people from one another?  When national resources and opportunities are planned to go into the pockets of those who have the political power and their own cronies, is it possible other people would simply remain spectators and play the narbles?
Poor political strategy
———————————–
The political strategy of Muse Biixi and his intimate spiritual leader, Mohamed Kahin, is far from being a belief in sharing prosperity and power, and comprehensive defeat of poverty. Their front foreign policy is fraught with disaster, with a noteable lack of knowledge about international relationship effective communication.
Oddly enough, what we have so far seen from Muse Biixi and his administration is nothing more than lack of national vision, reluctancy to reform and rectify what went wrong, hit-miss politics, inability to deliver the promises that he made during the election campaign and readiness for carrying out the policies of his political teacher, Siilaanyo.
The ghost of megelomania
——————————————
A tectonic shift has taken place in the structure of Somaliland politics. Somaliland has become a country where some clans seem more collaborative, more allied to always control the power of Somaliland  than other clans tend to.  So the questions that need asking are: Do other clans ever wonder what  the allied clans know that they don’t? Is it conspiracy or capability that creates such stability between them (the rainbow coalition)?
We are told that great political alliances are based on realistic expectations, dedication, devotion and decency when it comes to who leads the household and how the future of a nation would look like,?
In an era in which what we debate or discuss does not determine how what is debated or discussed reveals itself, the act of alliance that is not based on a deep nationalistic insight cannot influence how Somaliland destiny reveals itself as a nation in the future.
What this means is that whatever went wrong, whatever mistakes happened in the past and evidently continue to happen at this moment in Somaliland is caused by the direction in which tribalism or temptation started some Somaliland politicians, like Siilaanyo and all those that followed him.
What makes Rainbow coalition leaders intellectually blind, morally bankrupt, and ethically diseased? Why do Rainbow coalition  continues to grab every aspect of Somaliland endeavour and opportunity?
Why are Kulmiye leaders making ridiculous decisions as if they have no idea what they’re doing?  Shouldn’t there be some kind of legitimate test before presidents, parliamentarians and local councillors have to pass before we vote for them to prove they can run a country fairly, successfully and safely?
When the Somaliland that is what-is-seen will be reformed or finally removed? The question is : When and why we can’t make changes in this way that we are ruled.?
The problem with Somaliland pollitical situation is that the worest and weakest people in our land are now in control of our society and country.  Are we really that weak to let worest people control us? How can we be so stupid to let this all happen? How did it become this way? Are all of us so weak? Do the strong people still exist; if so, don’t they care?
We cry and complain of “how our system isn’t the way we want it, and work hard for what we want. We can rise above this, especially achieving a better reality for our society or any problems we may encounter. If we aren’t able to, we need to learn to stop the habit of low thinking because it is poison, and our system won’t be as rewarding as we wish it could be.
We need to learn how we can react and  respond to take control of our mess, and create a lasting just system that emphasizes moral values for our society instead of arrogant, ignorant people taking control of our realities.
We can make changes in our political ruling behavior when we  change how we react and respond.  Being at war with how we react and respond to events that affect our political life will only turn us into a casualty. No amount of regrets can change the past, and no amount of worries can change the future.
That’s the biggest behavior right thinking people always battle. The time to act like a victim after an opportunity loss is over. The time has come to focus on how to find ways of doing things.
Will there ever be realisation of Self that is the seer? It depends on how Somaliland nationals react and respond to challenges that hurt the destiny of our people. Home is where we all rise and fall.
