They Are Spreading Disease, Not Education

Mr. Winston Churchill said a good speech should be like a woman’s skirt: long enough to cover the subject and short enough to create interest.   When you courting a beautiful girl an hour seems like a second.   But when you sit with an ugly face a second seems like an hour.   That is relativity.   There is a place if you touch a girl that will drive her crazy.  It is her heart.   But gravitation cannot be held responsible for people falling in love.    I have often regretted my speech, never my silence.   Because knowledge speaks, but wisdom listens.   When the World becomes a massive mess with nobody at the helm, it is time for writers to make their remarks.    Dear reader, as your best friend, I will always pick you up when you fall, after I finished laughing.    In the end, everything is a gag.    Sir Winston Churchill said, any man under 30 years, and is not a liberal, has no heart; and any man who is over 30 years, and is not a conservative, has no a brain.

Dear reader, education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the World, and it is the passport to the future.   And tomorrow belongs, to those who prepare for it today.   An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.   The supreme lesson of any education should be to think for you, absent this attainment; education creates dangerous and stupefying conformity of persons, like Dr. Sacad Cali Shire.   Who has been an underdog for four Dead – maize women for four years.    That proves that education without personality is nothing, but trash and ash.   Dr. Sacad, education is what remains after one has forgotten what one learned in school.   And the function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically in a libral and independent mind.   Not answering the media in a murmuring sound after he has forgotten, tomemorize the dictation of his Godfather.    Dr. Sacad, education is not about going to school and getting a degree.   It is about widening your knowledge, and absorbing the truth about life.   All real education is the architecture of the Soul.   To educate a man in mind and not in morals is to educate a menace to society.   Dr.Sacad, from the moment I started reading yourbiography up until I finished it, I was convulsed with laughter.   Because, no one ever earned a million dollars honestly.   You can pretend to be serious; but you cannot pretend to be witty.

The nice thing about egotists is that they donnot talk about other people.    Education and hard – work are the levers to uplift a nation.    A quality education grants us the ability to fight the War on ignorance and poverty.    If you think education is expensive, try ignorance.   If a man neglects education, he walks lame to the end of his life.  According to our situation, an illegal immigration is crisis for our country.   It is an open door for criminals, drugs, prostitution, and potential terrorists to enter our country.   It increases robbery and violence.   It strains our economy, by adding costs to our judicial, healthcare, and education System.   Dear reader, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates and Mark Zukerberg didn’t finish college.   Too much emphasis must be placed on formal education.   And tell our children not to worry about their grades but have to enjoy learning.   Creativity is the key to success in the future, and primary education is where teachers can introduce creativity in children at that level.  The first quotation I have been told by my Education and Psychology teacher, Mrs. Dorthy was.   ( Woe to him who teaches the people more than they can understand  ).   She told me that good teaching is one – fourth preparation and three – fourth theater.  Until justice is blind to clan or tribe, until education is unaware of class, until opportunity is unconcerned with the region of the person, democracy and emancipation of tribalism will be a proclamation but not a fact.   Althoough our children are only 24% of our population, yet they are 100% of our future.   Owing to that, we must avoid to provide our children with a substandard education compared to their age group, else where in the well advanced countries.   Parents matter, school buildings counts, curriculum choices is the backbone, demonestration materials and visual aides as much as can be affordable is a must.   All these things are important in a top – class education.   But, in the end, it comes down to the teachers.   As I have said earlier, creativity is the key to success in the future of our kids and primary education is where teachers can bring creativity in the children at the right level.   Access to libraries, books and the encouragement of the habit of reading are the most necessary steps in education.   Reading is the key of knowledge and library lovers never go to bed alone.   A library is the delivery room for the birth of ideas, and a place where history comes to life.   Your library is your paradise, as a student.  The foundation of every State is the quality education of its youth.   He, who opens a school door, closes a prison.

Much of the education in Somaliland today is monumentally ineffective.   All too ofen we are giving young generation cut flowers instead of teaching them how to grow their own plants.   Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.   Creativity is the kry to success in the future of our young generation and primary education is where teachers can bring creativity in children at that level.   Education is not merely neglected in many of our schools today, but is replaced to a great extent by an alien ideological indoctorination.    Real education is about genuine understanding and the ability to figure things out on our own way; not about making sure every 7th grader has memorized all the facts which some foreign teachers and bureaucrats have put in the 7th grade curriculum.   Above that, we are continuing to have school tuition; books and school uniforms grow at a multiple of the rate of inflation.   And that is a setback and discouraging the parents.   What is being lacking from our political leaders for a long time is really that other part of what a Budget – Chair does, which is set the priorities for this country in terms of making sure we invest in the right places, in education, in job training and in getting healthy water to drink, and to make sure we do a balanced approach moving forward in our Healthcare System.    Dear reader, you won’t believe me if I tell you the scenes I have seen during my stay in Hargeisa.    A school Building of eight classes – rooms, each is four by four meters and each holding forty students.   Above that it has only one window, no tables and the children are using their laps as a writing – table.    Can you believe that?  More amazingly, there is only one toilet for both girls and boys.    Worse than that, according to the information I have received from some teachers.    There are more than twenty Curriculums in Somaliland.    Can you imagine how confusing the children will go through?   Above that, each school has its own School Uniform and the Text – Books are given as a contract to some priveleged groups.    Worse than that, there are a lot of grammatical errors and misprint on those Text Books.   In addition to that, some of the staff in the Ministry of Education, school principals and Headmasters can’t be replaced or transferred to other schools.  They have a royality status.   But I hope the new Minister of Education Mr. Yusuf Faratool who is a vetran teacher will do some substitutional change in the grassroot of the whole Ministry.

Mr.Yusuf Faratool, there are a lot of obstacles, thorns and zigzag course on your way.   Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal.   When you gaze long into abyss, the abyss also gazes into you.   There is a lot of mess in that Ministry.   You must have the wisdom of 90 years old, the body of 20 years old and the energy of 3 years old.   When nothing is going right, go left.   The Sanaag and Sool people are all eyes and ears.   You have to prove that you are not a hostage for any particular tribe and you are a free element.   You are the captain of the ship and not a passanger in a football team.   Donnot associate yourself with a meeting of four men of the same trbe, of the same Ministry, having a meeting, and yet claiming that Somaliland is safe and sound and we are a democratic State.   John F. Kennedy said, forgive your enemies, but never forget their names.   Mr.Yusuf Faratool, fill what is empty, empty what is full, and scratch where it itches.

Dear reader, we are a nation that each of us has been trained and taught to seek personal gain, interest and security benefit to fight for his self.   Though we covr it with nationalist phrases, pleasant placards and sweet flavouring quotations.    We have been educated for various professions for various reasons; within a Tribal System which is based on exploitation and acquisitive fear.   In the good old days before we got merged in the Evil Vampire in Mogadishu,  our Curriculum was the same as the one in Sudan whom we share many things in common.    It was a competitive and World wide recognized one.    But now, you name it!    It is a coalition wearing a cocktail dress that we share nothing in bone or in blood.

Dear reader, education is a progressive discovery of our ignorance.   We have entered an age in which education is not just a luxury permitting some men an advantage over others.   It has become necessity without which a person is defenseless in this complex, and industrialized society.   We have truly entered the century of the educated man.

Allah answers the mess of life with one word: Grace!
